Default Lift Levelers

Hello, this is my first post but I am planning on doing quite a bit to my 06 H3. I was interested in purchasing a set of lift levelers to bring the front end up. I found a set for $85, but I think it is just 2 keyways. Is there more to this project or is it just a set of keyways to bring the front end up? Any help is appreciated.

that sounds about right on price...but if you are just looking to "level" your ride out then you don't need the new keys just turn up your factory torsion bars...check out the FAQ's

yeah, after I posted this I have done ALOT! of reading about the torsion bar adjustment. . .some good some bad. I will have to talk to my mechanic and see what he thinks. It sucks that I just decided to start this project seeing as I just got my H3 aligned just the other day not knowing it would need another one after leveling it out, but he said he would cut me a break since I just got it done. Thanks for the response.

If you can read a tape measure and can turn two bolts...... get yourself a 1 1/16" socket from sears and do it yourself. You do not need a jack, stands or any other tools.

Do not waste your money on keys, they are not necessary to level a 3. If your mechanis tells you to get them, he is just looking for work.

I can point you to a How To if you can't find it with a search.

My drivers side won't get any higher then 22" from center of hub... Not sure why.... just seems different then the pass side... so getting a leveling kit is the only way for me to get the front end up. I even had the torsion bar completely out to see if I can turn the factory key one notch to get it to raise higher but I can't get it back in if I turn it even that one notch... so new keys are the only way to do it.

u might be able to crank the t-bar but most of every1 who has done it has got new shocks. i see u have read that there is good and bad to it, a buddy of mine works on hummer's and he advised me not to do it. i always said in my opinion that if it was meant to be cranked then it would came that way but thats just my opinion. i went with the ready lift kit and it guarantee's the factory ride will not change and there for no need to get new shocks, now the kit i got is alittle pricey and i think it sells for $230 but i got mine off ebay for $35 and $15 s/h so $50 was a steal and totally worth it. if i did not get a good price the kit is still worth it in my opinion. now if u are over your warranty u might not care if u crank the t-bar. but if u are under and some thing happens to it or in that area watch out the dealer will say u voided your warranty. they will look for any reason to screw u.good luck in your choice. peace out and like always HUMMER ON

Read the posts, i've yet to do mine but from what I've seen there's 2 ways, both involve spending $. 1 you buy new torsion keys w/ spacers for the factory shocks & bump stops ( what everyone calls leveling kits)(http://www.trailduty.com/product_inf...roducts_id=812), 2 you buy after market shocks, new bump stops & crank the factory torsion keys (http://www.trailduty.com/product_inf...roducts_id=765). I've asked my mechanic (real good personal friend) he said buy the shocks crank the factory torsion keys

Wow, so much chatter about such a simple topic.

Turning your Torsion Bar adjusting bolts does not effect your ride. Still the same torsion bars, same spring rate, just a different position.

Why do the H3s not have the T Bars adjusted to have the front end levelled on the dealer lots?? MPG ratings. It is that simple.

MPG ratings are base upon vehicle prodution as delivered, lifting the nose to take out the factory rake knocks your mileage. What you do with your T Bar setting after they deliver it to you, they don't care.
