Left side audio
Sometimes the left speakers work and sometimes they don't. I thought the left channel of the factory radio was out. It affects my chimes, stereo and Onstar. I replaced the radio with an after market Kenwood and I still have the same problem. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this?
I just bought My 06 H3 with stock radio still in it, after trying to adjust the settings I noticed my left side wasn't working either, the tweeter plays lightly but front and rear driver side doors are silent, plus no door chime. Since I'm swapping out the radio anyway I wasn't too upset. If it still doesn't work I'll pull both speakers and test them, if one is blown it affects the others. If they are fine then there's a short in the wire somewhere. Then you have to rewire that side by hand from the deck to the speaker, through the door wiring grommets. And that part sucks. If anyone knows about this problem let me know. If not I'll post what I discover during my install.
Just checked my drivers side door speaker, it looked like a mouse had chewed it all to hell! I broke the speaker off the original plastic mount, added a new 5 1/2 inch speaker directly in the factory mounting plate. And that solved the entire left side problems. One bad speaker will mess up all the rest!
