$500 a month for a lease?? You can get a 03-04 H2 for $500 a month for 3 years.. and own it...

 

I also have leased before in the past and it worked for the situation at the time. But looking back, I would not do it again unless I was letting that lease go and go with another car/truck.When you lease 3 or 4 years and then take the buy out of the residule at the end of term you are most likely to get back in toanother 5 years owing on the sametruck taking you 8 to nine years to pay off theH3in total. And whenbuying you would be finished paying anything on the H3, 3 to 4 years earlier, just my opinion.

 

GM also has the Smart buy program, it's set up like a lease but it's a purchase with a balloon payment at the end. Like a lease you can turn it in and flip into a newer model or you can keep and pay it off or refinance it or even sell it if you can get enough to pay it off.

I chose the smart buy, I've done a few leases before and some states make you pay taxes on it at the end of the year and nearly every state requires much higher insurance limits because if you kill somebody or damage property the people can sue the lease company as it's in their name and not yours. The insurance companies usually make you carry much higher liability.

I honestly don't know if I'll keep mine after the 39th month, the cost isn't that bad to keep it but I just may have to trade her in for an Alpha or whatever is available in the 2010 models.
