Do not modify your H2 Idler arm support frame bracket like Kryptonite shows in their installation instructions. This will weaken your frame bracket. Only modify the bottom of the frame bracket. Do not cut out the top as they show. I am attaching photos of my modification and this is all that is needed for the Kryptonite Idler Arm Support to fit my H2. Mine is a 2006.
I would never install a component "upgrade" that requires me to cut the factory frame in any way. I would rather just replace the factory part when it wears out. AM general and GM spent a great deal of time, effort and money designing the H2 frame and its suspension components. There is nothing wrong with a manufacture upgrading components as long as you don't have to hack things up to install them. Unless of course your turning your H2 into a off road rock crawler. Just my 2 cents.

I agree on the hacking part. But it seems funny to me that they spent all that time designing suspension components like tie rods yet they turn into pretzels if you breathe on them too hard lol.
Not sure if I have the idler brace or not but I have the idler arm, pitman arm, tie rods, and center link. They’re holding up great so far only with 65k on them so far though. I suspect they’ll last me the life of the truck. And if not, i got the lifetime warranty. I Will swear by kryptonite.
I wouldn’t ever buy cognito parts. Their pitman arm support and idler supports were on the truck when I got it and I don’t like them. The way they install is unsafe and dangerous. The brace leaves little thread left and shifts around to eventually back the pitman nut off. Last thing I want is 7k lbs loosing steering down the highway.
GM used the tie rod ends from the 2500, and considering what the H2 was designed for were not up for the task. They were fine for a Heavy Duty Truck that runs down the road all day with street tires but put some 35's on it and hit a few off road boulders and bingo bango there goes the tie rod ends. Kryptonite tire rod ends, center links and steering components are bullet proof and were designed in way where they just bolt on, no hacking required. About the only downside is their price but when you consider the come with life time guarantees they pay for themselves to the original owners knowing they won't ever have to buy them again and they never seem to break anyway. There stuff is top notch, well designed and a welcome addition to any H2 that also add's values not detracts from it like some other suspension changes.
