Default Pitman arm replacement

Just changed out both wheel bearings and the idler arm and the pitman arm.
Every think went fine until I replaced the pitman arm , it was no fun,
Didn't pull the gear box just changed it on the truck.
I wished the wearable item would be on the drag link and not on the
pitman arm.... Any body else change there's out yet.

I'm getting ready to replace both those items also. Have the parts but haven't had the time. Was it really too much trouble that I should have a shop do it?

Idler arm was easy, pitman arm not so much, if you don't normally do this kind of work I would farm it out.

Just did mine....I had to beat the hell out of the pitman arm with a hammer while I had an impact gun on the puller! Also I unbolted the steering box from the frame to move it away from the crossmember under the pitman arm to get the puller on there.

Took about 2-3 hours. Now I need to tighten the adjustment on the steering box a little.
