So going to repost this since it's still an issue. 2003 H2. So the wires broke at the selonoid at the bottom of shifter causing key to be stuck. I replaced the connect and all wires were correctly matched/ connected. Selonoid on the shifter was replaced. Brake pedal sensor replaced and shift position sensors on tranny replaced. Still issues. If I go to turn off engine and remove key, key turns to engine off position but will not turn to the last position where u can remove key unless I put key in the run position and apply brake pedal and turn key to full off and then it removes. I'm baffled.

 

sounds like you have a wire crossed at the connector on shifter

 

Wish I did but they are connected correctly. Checked them three times. Also checked my solders job by testing voltage at the plug and that's all good.
