Jeeps vs Hummers...
Since when are the H2 and H3 not better than a jeep also. I was forced to drive a POS Jeep Cherokee for work. Itgot stuck all the time trying to get to my communicationssites. I left for a company that gave me a HD Silverado. Those Jeep Liberties are the biggest (ok not the biggest) cheese on the road. Sprint had a whole fleet of them for the sales people and they were just falling apart, plus they reminded me of the VW Beetle...EEEEWWWW. I have seen a couple of new jeeps that looked kinda cool, but they just don't have the same type of mystique that a Hummer does. They are more affordable though and a lotmorepeoplehave them. This is a hard conversation to win because the ratio of jeeps to hummers on the road has got to be phenominally imbalanced due to lower pricing and the number years each brandhas been in production. I really haven't investigated Jeep pricing lately, but my guess is that H3 decked out (the least priced Hummer Model) is probably priced on par with the highest priced Jeep. Enough rambling. In the end buy what you like and what you can afford.

And yeah Liberties are awful but even worse are the new Compass... I have no doubt in my mind and im sure a jeep owner would agree(if they dont they are just lying to themselfs) that if we setup a obsticle course, and have it so that it starts easy and slowly gets harder that the Entire Hummer Line(H1, H2, H3) would make it further than the entire Jeep Line(Wrangler, Cherokee, Compass, Liberty, Commander, etc.).

As for the real answer... Read my last post

I believe if we do this with all stock vehicles then we can easily finda real answer... And it doesnt even need to be physically done... Just think Compass... Liberty.... And I am sure you can figure out which Brand will prevail.
wow...that's just ridiculous...let's get real...the HUMMER H1 cannot be brought into this discussion...It's not a GM and they aren't made anymore!!! You wanna bring the H1 into it then add teh entire CJ line to the obstacle course
The compass, libery and others aren't made for teh off-road demographic...it's made to fill a slot and it does it's job well.
If you were constantly getting stuck in a cherokee..you need to learn how to drive or get better tires cause the cherokee/grand cherokee (certain t-cases) were very very good off road rigs.
Line up a Rubicon against an h3 and the rubi wins...HANDS DOWN...not even close...sorry folks but those are the facts....the h3 is better on road and more comfy (close though) but off road there is no competition.
CJ's against ANYTHING hummer ever made? Not many trucks in the workd could compete offroad with a cj...I think even 3hummers would agree to that.
Line up the h2 against the grand or the commander and the h2 wins, hands down.
But again I am neutral and not a hummer or jeep homer.

Honestly though, who cares? I buy what I like regardless of what other people think.
