I have a Hummer H3. Every few months, I turn the key, dash lights come on but the engine does not turn over. If I wait 10 minutes the car starts and runs normally. Then the problem disappears for a couple months. What is the problem?

 

Welcome to the forum.
It sounds like your Passlock system. A know problem with some GM vehicles.

I am going through this presently, driving me H3 crazy, I had it in the shop multiple times we can't figure it out. My local GMC and my local repair shop. I will post when I find that culprit. Just happened again to me this morning.
