The wiring interface is the harness that connects the radio to the onstar module so onstar, door chimes and safey warning chimes still work. You can see what you will need at Crutchfields website. Find the radio you are looking at and on the right side click where is says 'save on installation gear'.

I got the $49.99 package. The more expensive one is what you want if you have steering wheel controls. Also if you have XM the module in the H3 will not work and you will need to get the aftermarket SiriusXM tuner.
