Default Installed my gas cap cover

Ok first off I'm sorry I forgot to bring my camera w/ me when I went to my friends shop to borrow tools so the only pics are after the fact (damn newbies)

I got the defenderworx one and it was an easy job. I will say I'm not real impressed w/ defenderworx packing, no instructions and the template for the holes was a **** poor photo copy at best.

We totaly took off the the fender well molding(worth the extra 5 minutes) 7-8 plastic push tabs & 5 bolts and it slides right out. The filler trim ring tabs then push out very easily. Now the hard part, remember that **** poor template you guessed it the first set of holes I drill don't line up for sh** 1 was spot on but the other 3 needed to be redone. A few choice words later & every thing pops back in smoothly and it looks great.

Looks real good, black and especially on a black truck! No offense to anybody, but the chrome ones look so eeeeh, but without one looks unfinished.

Mind saying how much it cost?

It was $189.95 @ hummerpartsclub.com. there were others that were less but I liked this 1 better, it's ok'd by GM so it has "hummer" stamped on it & the cylinder lock is better than a regular key lock.

That's cool. Well, it definitely looks factory. In fact, why didn't GM just put them on standard (I mean, actual cost is not that bad). Oh well, guess same reason there's so many other [expensive] accessories...gotta get you somehow
