Default Installed my Stainless Steel Gas Cover

I installed my locking gas cap today....after seriously GI Joeing my H3. It really needed it.....I hate when the salt sits on it for to long! Anyways, here are a couple pics of the new cover. It attaches with 3M tape and two small screws that screw into the original plastic piece (not the metal fender!) Sorry but the stainless looks black in the pics.....I'll have to get another shot outside.....

looks good.

Not to change the subject too much, but you mention you have metal fenders? Mine are plastic, but I have a 2007 non-alpha. Do the 2008 Alpha's have metal fenders? Not that it matters; I'm just curious.

I think they are plastic fenders to....after doing the install I noticed the fenders were pretty flimsy. They must be either plastic or cheap fiberglass, but I thought around the wheel lip edge it seemed to be metal....oh well....it's a whatever material

the cover I got was from realwheels I think. I bought it off another member here. I like it a lot. The only issue I had, was once it was installed, the SS was really heavy and the plastic gas surround wanted to move inside the fender a little. So I took some foam rubber seal material and put some in between the plastic surround and the fender....you can't even see it and now it's nice and tight....before it was a little loose and would probably rattle.
