I call it a insider update becasue I get my information from my Aunt who works at the Shreveport H3 plant. Any who...She told me tonight that in June of 2007 they are scheduled to start putting V8 5.3L in the H3. Along with alot of other stuff , Air intake even changing the grill?

Iwas going to get an 07 in November.
Looks like Im going to drive the same junk pile for a while longer now.
It will be worth the wait, and can save more for the down payment.

 

you have made claims about this before have you not? Listen, not for nothing but there is a guy on another forum that works in hummer development and he has mentioned nothing about this. Actually he has shot down any ideas for a v8 in 07...not gonna happen. BTW...he is very trustworthy and has been right about everything up to now so I have no reason to doubt him.

 

I believe the 08's with the V8 are only gonna come from GM South Africa

 

There will be a V8 for the 2008 model year. It will also have a cast iron front diff. The only thing I'm not sure of is it might be called the H3 Alpha.

 

Placing a V8 into the H3 seems to go counter to GM Marketing of the vehicle.
I would have liked a V8 in my H3, but the H3's five cylinder (220Hp, 225 ft lbs) is okay.
Just my thoughts..
