Default I'm back ...

I joined the forum in late 2006 with the purchase of my yellow H3 ... I used to be IgottaH3, but I can't seem to get back in that way. Well, I turned in my lease on that H3 back in February of this year. Long story short, daughter graduated from nursing school and bought her own car! My Audi TT roadster was getting long in the tooth. Traded in daughter's Jetta TDI and the TT and bought a Black H3 Alpha with Morocco leather interior. I guess I missed the H3 more than I thought. Great power, nice ride and happy to be driving a Hummer again.

One question .... I have the 7 spoke chrome wheels, but my spare is polished aluminum - no chrome. Is that normal? I also wanted to purchase a complete set of the polished only rims for the winter. Any problem with using the "spare" type wheels for that? Thanks for the help and I'm happy to be back!!

Normal for a used H3 I guess. 2008?

A silver spare will surely work with the others, but it probably looks a bit strange?

Welcome back.

My 2007 the spare matches the other 4 wheels.

It's a 2009 with 4000 miles on it. It was a dealer rental unit ... that show no signs of abuse (he said hopefully.) The spare is different from the rest of the wheels. Should I contact the dealer?

Who knows what the policy is with demos but maybe they'll help you out, absolutely give them a call! They probably didn't realize the mismatch either. Maybe GM made the mistake at the factory, your selling dealer installed the wrong wheel or the originating dealer (in the case of a dealer swap) installed the wrong wheel. You may need some patience to unravel the situation.

I always include my spare when rotating tires so that would really bug me, I'd calmly tell them that too if you need to apply a little more pressure.
