Wondering if anyone has had this issue. All of a sudden the steering wheel will not lock after key is out. It clicks as you drive afraid it may lock up as driving
Thinking just new ignition. Any help would be great.

 

When you ask a question, best if you post it in the vehicle specific section and specify year and model. If you are talking about H3s, they do not have a steering wheel lock.

None of our H3s or H3Ts have locking steering wheels.

 

According to the owner's manual, the H3 does have a steering lock IF it has the manual transmission.

 

The 2008 manual does mention this, and so does the 2006 and 2009, but both the 2006 and 2009 manuals I drove did not have steering wheel locks???

That would not be the only errors in the manual if it is incorrect (ie. head light aiming and programming TPMS sequence are both wrong).

 

Interesting. Does seem odd that some would have the lock while most didn't. I have no knowledge personally since I've never driven a MT H3. I know my Alpha automatic doesn't, even though the ignition ring does say "lock" on it, and I know that my owners manual says that the MT locks.

I just find it odd that at least 2 people have now claimed that theirs used to lock but don't anymore. Are they mistaken? Possibly. Or maybe the lock on the MTs are commonly/easily broken and while they should lock, most don't?

Just out of curiosity, what's incorrect about the headlight aiming in the manual? I'm getting ready to crank up my torsions to level out the truck and will need to readjust my headlights, so...
