I sunk my H3 a while back
After the fact and all, but here goes. If your H3 is dead and stuck in park or wherever, you can just pull up the shifter "booty" and push a little button in there. It's a release. It can then be shifted to neutral.
I had no PCM but needed to roll mine a while back.
Again, no help for your situation, but if there's a next time you're good to go

Nope they sold it to an auction. When I went to go get my stuff out from this huge totaled car auction place I asked the guy who was watching me to make sure I didnt take anything out my car that i didnt fill out a paper for he said they usually end up getting sold and shipped to Mexico. He also added that it'll probably sell for around $15,000, and fixed up down in Mexico to be sold as a working H3 to be driven there as well. Unlucky for whoever gets it because the diff is gonna start slipping soon.
As far as electrical gremlins, I'm not so sure about that. I think after it dryes out and once everything is replaced the right-way, there wont be many if any issues.

I'm pretty sure with the manual you just push in the clutch and put it in neutral
The issue with auto's is, if the sensor fries you cant physically move the shift lever. The most that happens with a 5spd is you fry the clutch sensor, in which case the truck doesn't start, but will still roll in neutral.
Believe me dude I know ill take a pic of the hole in the future. It's one deceiving mother. Lol

Well well well. What a f*cking coincidence. I sunk MY hummer today. I was up to my knees in the cabin in water. I KNEW i was gonna get stuck, but my dumbass friend peer pressured me into tackling this hole. In the middle of nowhere in the hole, (rather close to shore actually) I found a HUGE dropoff that instantly put the hood under water. I slammed on the brakes so I didn't go deeper, and I was instantly stuck. Not. Cool. The only thing wrong with the truck is the security system is going nuts and not letting me start the truck.

Pretty bold to go on a public forum admitting to insurance fraud...
