Hummer wont start
OK, SO HERES THE DEAL. my H3 has been giving me a bit of a problem. it all started when it wouldnt start. i had it jumped. ran a day or two and the same thing the next day. therefore, i thought it was the battery. I had my dealer drop a new battery in it. after a few days, this probem continued. i took it back to the dealer where they figured it was the alternator. we changed that. ran ok for 4-5 days. and what do ya know---wont start again!! so its in teh shop! any ideas as t what it could be? No lights or anything was left on.

This is NOT an H3 FAQ. Please do NOT post in that section again (read my thread that says DO NO POST IN THIS SECTION).
Many problems have been caused by the piece of crap OEM battery terminals, more so in the cold because the lead battery terminal shrinks more then the OEM terminal clamp can contract and you get a poor connection. PCM vehicles can have many issues because of their sensativity to slight changes in voltage.
Cut off the POS OEM terminals and replace them with a quality unit, like Stingers, and you may reslove your issue. Even if it is not the source of your current problem, it is an improvement that should be done regardless. I had 2-3 no start mornings 2 years ago, installed stingers and never had the problem again. My battery will be 4 years old in 3 weeks.

My wife's H3 failed to start twice in the last month. Would crank but not start. Would start after it sat for about ten minutes. Found the answer in this forum. The problem was with the ignition switch and how it deactivates the security system. If the ignition fail to deactivate the security system then the computer thinks someone is trying to steal it and shuts down the ignition for ten minutes. The dealership changed out the ignition and so far no problems. I hope this helps.
