Hello all, Let me start off by stating that I am trying to help out my father who has a H2, not myself. He has been complaining that the H2 will not start after driving it sometimes. If this happens, it will only start after sittingfor a few hours. He has taken it to the dealership and they have replaced a few things on it the fuel pump being one. Still no luck on solving the issue. I have not completely searched this forum but have skimmed the H2 section. Is this a farely common problem? Has anybody had this happen? I know I will need to get more information, just putting out a feeler for the time being. TIA.

 

Sounds like starter motor. Make sure all cables are tight.

 

Need a better description of no start condition. Did he check for spark/fuel? Or is it a turn key nothing/clicking deal? Will it start with a jump? Could be slot of things...

I got some more inofrmation for the not starting. The randomness still continues, but he doesn't think the problem is the starter. The engine cranks but does not want to turn over. Seems to think the problem is in the security system. I will keep searching as well as keep everybody informed on the issue. Thanks for the advise and the link.
