RE: Hummer Hating Neighbors?
Occasionally someone pulls up next to me and jaw jacks a little but they always drive off when I pull over. The neighborhood is used to me. With 3 Hummers there is always one out front. I even have an ACLU attorney that lives down the block and he doesn't even hassle me. Guess the NRA sticker, THCI decal and a few assorted others have convinced him I am a lost cause or too dangerous to mess with. Don't care which as long as he stays away. I actually caught more crap when I had the H2.

RE: Hummer Hating Neighbors?
Now here's a funny perspective: I was at a Hummer Happening recently and they gave everyone little toy H3s. So what did I overhear a dad telling his kids? "Those H3s aren't real Hummers like our H2." Now, last I recall the H2 isn't built on a Humvee frame, nor does it have most of the technology of an H1. I can't see how it's a "real" Hummer and the H3 isn't.
Of course we hear this all of the time from Hummer Haters, how the H2/H3 aren't real Hummers. I guess that would be like saying modern Fords aren't really Fords since they have zero tie-in to the Model T, or the Corvette isn't a real Chevy since it doesn't share any of the features of the ones back in the 1910s.
Hummer is about DNA, the philosophy of the truck and so much more; not about central tire inflation, bad gas mileage or the ability to serve as a military vehicle.

How ignorent where those people, HUMMER is a Brand with ThreeModels, the HMMWV aka Humvee is built for the DoD which is built by AM General owned by GM. Since the H1 is being commercialyaxed but will still be built for DoD only, the HUMMER Brand now still only has three models.
I guess we should have a forum blog to educate the outside world.

if the goal were to educate the masses, perhaps a starting point would be that GM does not own AM General. GM has exclusive marketing and distribution rights to the Hummer name, but does not own AM General.
