Default HUb Replaced .. Problem fixed

Hi Everyone '

Just replaced the Hub ... Job was fairly easy , harder part was to remove the caliper bolts ...

Question : How important is to tight the Wheel Drive Shaft Nut with a torque ... My torque wrench stop working . The service manual said to torque it to 173 lb . I Use the Impact Gun and re-torque by hand to what in my opinion was close to 173 lb

BTW I got an electric impact gun from Harbor freight for $49 ... surprisingly this tool was very good ... Maybe not for professional but very useful to help you in changing brakes or rotating wheels ...

Here it is a video to show how it was to remove the 8 lug nuts :

Hub nut torque is critical. I would borrow a torque wrench and get it right.

Caraddict .. I agree but a Mac would cost twice plus the air compressor , hoses , set up , space .. No really needed for someone whos doing it once a year . This one did the job and then went to a box in my closet hopefully no need to use it till next year who knows

Calif .. Im going to get a new TW today under the warranty but either way im going to buy another cause this one is only 150 lb ... the torque needed is 173lb
Thank you

More like six times as much...lol I would rather use the electric you bought then do it by hand and for $50.00 it paid for itself already.

I did too. Ya, by the time you figure in all the jacking, lug nuts, big bolts, heavy rotors, big tires, etc......it is a nice little work out. Pretty satisfying to do it yourself thought huh? I like to be able to do it myself and save a ton of $$$.
