The NUNs did let the whole school go home early back in 63, when Kennedy was shot...I was in 3rd grade at the time.....With a ton of home work I might add.[:@]
But back to what I was saying..back in those days it was a mortal sin to embarass the family while at school under the NUN's rule...That's why the double beatings....And ya know, looking back at those times..there wasn't the kind of crime and corruption in the country like you have today...worst thing was turning over the neighbor's outhouse.

I don't think beating the **** outa your kids or not doing it is the reason for how things are Den :-) Personally I pitty the poor bastard who would dream up the idea of laying as much as a finger on my kid if I ever get around having one ...
I see no difference in it myself .. if I have problem with you, I don't beat the crap out of you for it .. there isin my opinion no reason to do that to a child either .. it's just a display of your own short comings when it comes to verbally communicating on a level they can understand.
Looking at the big picture it seems the trend is leaning more and more towards parents not taking their responsibility or are just so busy it's easier to drug their kids up, ridillin being a perfect example .. Typical "this is my kid, he/she matches my couch .." generation of parents .. disgusting! Parents are damn near holy in this country ... was it just me who vomited uncontrollably after these school shootings we've had over the past few years!? I can't think of one single article or news briefing where the parents were made responsible .. it was ALWAYS some other thing ... HEY, news flash f*cknuts ... a GOOD parent would've had a clue if their kid had a bunch of guns or pipebombs or whatever the hell it was ... OK! Just easier to point the finger and blame anything from video games to heavy metal ... I've listened to death metal the betterpart part of my teen years as well as my adult life .. I have YET to shoot anyone ... same thing goes for the video games ... MORONS!!!!
