Hello, I just picked up a Nav unit for my 2007 H3 with the current 6 disk changer w/Monsoon sub.
The Nav radio isGM part number 25846054.
I was told that this one superceded the old number of 15883298

My question is since this new radio is new and never been installed into other car...should I need to have programmed by Tech 2 tool at dealer? am I ok to plug in them get dealer to program if needed?

Any gotchas on this one? is it ok to just add the GPS antenna and radio using the old plugs ad power up?

Anyone have any steps/pics for this?

I am able toinstall radios andexperienced within-depth auto electronics work, I personally do not need to pay a dealer to do the install that takes about an hour including installing the GPS Antenna....I just wanted to know if I needed to have the unit programmed?

***Does anyone know if the Navigation radio is new will I need to have dealer use the Tech II tool to activate the radio?

****One more question....is it possible to do backup camera with 2007 without the add-on aftermarket units...I have heard that you can have the dealer add the option for the backup camera with the Tech II tool for the Navigation unit and just buy the camera from the parts department?

I don't think the dealer has to Tech II it if it's new as it's never been VIN locked to any rig as for the reverse cam, I think you need a PAC interface.
