Hey Welcome Alltorego! We North Texas guys and Gals just did a north Texas run @ bridgeport and are planning a simple meet and greet and would love to have you join us. My first meet and greet was in Febuary but I actually learned alot about what my truck could do then. I'm pretty new to Wheeling. So i went to try and learn as much as I could. Bro of 3 actually brought a bunch of video of the last trip the group did to Moab and we all watched it while having a little lunch. The Texas group is great. They are always willing to answer any questions you have. We have some pretty experienced guys and gals with a lot of different rigs. As soon as we finalize the planning for the August Meet and Greet I'll forward it your way. I be cool to meet you.

 

Sorry, I have been on the road for work. Thank you for all your support. I can’t wait to get to the next meet and greet. I was on the road and missed the last one here in Dallas. (Thank you for the invite Candy, I hope to make it to the next one!) Thank you, also, to 3 Hummers for putting her in touch with me.

A little about myself:
My wife, Carrie, and I are very involved in our kids’ lives, so that keeps us very busy on week day nights and weekends. They are 8 year old boy/girl twins. I am my sons den leader in the boy scouts and my wife is the co-leader. Carrie is also my daughter’s troop leader in the girl scouts. Our son is on the local 8U baseball team, he plays pitcher, and is a red belt in Karate. I am an assistant coach on my daughter’s 8U softball team, too. She is the catcher and RC field. So we stay very busy, but want to get into wheeling, too.

Surprisingly, Carrie sounded very interested in the meet and greet. And I think she is looking forward to one as much as I am. How often does the Dallas chapter get together? And where and when is the next outing?

 

Sounds like the life we all went through. I coached my daughter's ASA travel ball teams and was the pitching coach for her team that won the LLWS in Portland, Oregon in 1999. It was all consuming time wise. Tournaments 3 weekends a month, traveling all over the country for ASA qualifiers, etc. Great times, enjoy them while you can. Once they grow up and leave or quit those activities you will wonder where all your free time has come from.

 

I am in the north dallas area too... couldnt make it to the hard8 meet up last month but I def would like to meet up and learn to wheel. I plan on going to Long Ranch in Llano, TX this weekend just to get some dirt in my tires. I dont know where else to go just to play in dirt/mud in the DFW. Suggestions anyone??

 

And maybe at least some tips for me? Since i can't really meet up with you guys
