Default Horn chirp when lock/unlocking vehicle

I have just purchased the 2008 H3 Luxury model. I hate the horn chirping whenever I want to lock/unlock my vehicle. I have followed the instructions in the manual and it will not work. I am extremely frustrated. It has an auto start installed and has a different transmitter(fob). Any suggestions??? Thank you!

sounds like aftermarket, you may have to remove all that crap and get OEM transmitters...

The previous owner has it set to chirp. I just need to figure out how to get to the settings with a different fob. Thanks for the replies.

I'm pretty sure it is chirping through the horn. My previous H3 just had the lights flash, no chirp.

You can set the "stock" horn chirp using instructions in the owner manual. BUT, if your remote is "different", like you say, the chirp may be part of your aftermarket "auto-start" system, which means that the stock instructions are irrelevant.

That's what I figured but wanted to doublecheck. Bummer. Thanks for your help.
