Speaking of the hood-handles and "hood-vent". Does anyone make, or has anyone made, a true retro-fit vent? I would really like to cut a hole in the hood and install an adjustable vent.

As far as the feux-handles...I think it's a matter of opinion. I like 'em, and may grab the chrome "vent" w/ handles soon (if I can't find the real vent).

Yes this is excatly what happened to my a week ago...the blower at the car wash removed my fake vent...
Happyly I got only one scratch on the paint.
I just imagined what could happen if the vent goes off on the highway?!

I ordered the PREDATOR aluminum machined vent with handles....
If this one wants to blow off...then with the whole hood...

 

It happened to me last night! Going through the car wash and BAM! Hood vent goes flying. Hopefully they will just replace it since mine hasn't had the recall done yet.

Not sure on handles myself. No, they don't serve a purpose but some of them look pretty good. Nothing wrong with doing something just because it looks good. The low profile ones in Doc Old picture look pretty good.

 

"Hood handles" are like **** on a bull on an H2 or 3.

 

I like **** on most anything! Ordered me a set last night! (Hood Handles that is)

 

Any problems with great ****....**** are great!

I put hood handles on my H3 right before trading it in on an H2. It made my H3 rather unique. I liked the look.

 

I'm selling these for $55 for anyone interested....
