Default Help with Wheel/tire size PLEASE:)

Looking to get a set of 20 inch wheels this week, id like to go with a 35 inch tire, where do I get this setup from? I always use tirerack, looking to get the rockstar xd series in black 20x8.5 I think, just want some beefy tires that won't make me rub or have to modify anything. And Id like to get it from a vendor that mounts the wheel/tire so just bolts on when it gets here besides and alignment. Thanks guys.

I'm not a fan of the big wheels, but I think the 18" rims would look tougher and with a 35" tire would still be acceptable aired down. Although I dont suppose you have any plans for wheelin with those XD's.

I did "some" research but still definately a newbie to my rig. I have seen many run a 20 inch wheel with 35 inch tires and don't need a leveling kit or a lift. Is this true? Because that's what I wanted to go with but only if I could have a nice size tire. I know theyll slow down the car, didn't buy it for speed, more so just looks and off roading "capability", although I don't really do that much at all, just having the option at any given time to do so intrigues me for sure. Lemme know thanks.!

Yes, the 35's fit fine without a lift. Rim diameter doesn't matter with regards to how big of a tire you can run, but if you want to go offroad then those 20" rims won't have much sidewall to flex over obstacles like a 16 or even an 18 would (keep wheel diameter to 1/2 of tire diameter or less for best flex). Your 20" rim idea will be even worse for highway use or slowing down your truck because the bigger the rim, the more it weighs not to mention the impact of a 35" diameter tire on gearing. If thats what you want then it will look the part, but I wouldnt "offroad" it harder than a fire road or level 2 trails.

H3's with 20's will never look offroad capable. They will look exactly what they are - STREET trucks.

OK so after everyone's input I decided to go with a 18x9 wheel and I want to run 35 inch tires. Proper size so no modifications are needed would be 35x12.5x18?
