18" vs 20" wheel and tire size help needed please
With my last H3 I went with 20" wheels and loved them, with my new H3 Im between 18" or 20" wheels so I figured I would post my wheel tire goals to get size suggestions.
My goals ::
I wish to raise the height of my H3 as much as possible with my wheels and tires while notdoing a lift or a leveling kit or turning the T-bars.
Looking to give the H3 a nice beefy look.
Want to keep road noise to a minimum and keep that nice smooth H3 ride.
Anyhow, not sure what tire, wheel sizes 18" vs 20", would be best to get me to those goals, any suggestions would be great.
Also, I will be doing mostly city driving with very little off-roading.
Thanks in advance for anysuggestions and help.
Cheers

Like your thinking, that's what I'm planning on doing when the HX comes out.
Well, if your goal is to raise the truck up with the wheel in rims, you will not get much at all. You'll be able to fit 33's in there without issue, and 35's if you can find a good offset rim and are not venturing off the pavement.
If you want to keep a smooth ride, I havea few suggestions,
Change the factory shocks out. They are good from the factory, but the Rancho shocks are so much better. Than you can dial in the ride to the way you want it to be.
You'll have to stick with AT tire.... such as Nitto or BFG AT's. 20's on a 33" rim offer less sidewall, so they will ride slightly stiffer. So I would stay with an 18" rim and a 33" tire since you do not wnat to bumper the torsion bars. You'll also have a larger selection for rims and tires.
