when you added your cooler, did you happen to bypass the stock unit?

 

I still use the radiator cooler. Against common practices I ran through the cooler first and then to the radiator. Either way it is connected will help.

 

i gotcha. yeah I am going to bypass the radiator cooler. I just wanted to confirm that I could basically plug off the radiator trans cooler by using this

If you want to block off the transmission cooler at the rad you are going about it the wrong way. There is no nuts on the lines. The lines snap into the radiator and are held in by a wire clip. Some after market companies produce repair lines that will go in place of the factory lines. From there you can cap off the lines or connect them with a rubber hose.

Parts of that information is correct. Yes the lines are held in by a clip but they snap into an adaptor that screws into the rad. You can unscrew the adaptor and replace it with a cap. From my Googleing it seems that user groomsxxx is correct and it is a 6an plug you would need
