Default Help diagnosising belt squeal

My H3 has 92k miles on it. Lately it has started to squeal like crazy when I start it up. My only other information is that it squeals for right at 15 minutes, then it all goes away and no more squeal. I was hoping that that info could help to figure out what is most likely causing the squealing, and what I need to do to fix it. Belt, pulley, bearing? Can anyone tell me what the next step is to figure it out? Thanks.

1) Change the belt. If still present;
2) change the tensioner and idler pulleys.

For #2 you could change one at a time to see if your problem stops, but when it is time to change either, the other should be changed as well. It is about $100 for both.

Thanks, I'll start with the belt and go from there.

Does anyone have a link to diagram showing all of the parts that the serpentine belt connects to? The google can't seem to find me one. This morning I listened to the squeal and it seemed to be coming from the pulley that is directly above the tensioner. Thanks.

So it seems that all of the noise is coming from the power steering pump. Is this something that is usually repaired? Or do most people just go ahead and swap out for a new pump? Thanks.

Heard a strange noise, sounded like it was a belt. Tensioner caught my eye; it was "twitching", and making the noise. Ordered the delco from here:

@ 92,000mi I would say it is easier and cheaper to just get a reman pump. But keep the entire unit because you will have to swap the PS resivour from your old assembly to the reman one.

I know you probably already checked to see if you have enough fluid in the PS pump right?
