I have an 06 black h3 and was thinking about painting all the trim(mirrors, door handles, bumpers) pretty much all the plastic pieces gloss black I think it would give the whole car a better more "luxury" look has anyone tried this?

 

Ive used flat black on bumpers and painted center caps.

I just bought an H3 and am thinking of getting rid of some of the chrome by using Plasti Dip. If you search that product on this site you will find a number of HUMMER owners who have done just that (plus if you change your mind you can remove it).

 

I used some dull black pray paint specifically for plastic on the console trim that is chrome and it turned out really well. Next step is the chrome trim around the shifter. I wasn't happy painting the chrome around the gauges, so I need to redo that.

 

Check out my thread. Mines black also. Turned out awesome. I just recommend lots and lots of thin layers with plenty of time in between. Don't rush it.
