Default Has anyone painted their silver roof bars black?

I reinstalled the roof bars and they stick out with my de-chroming effort. Has anyone painted their bars black? I also bounced around the idea of using duplicolor bed liner paint. Thoughts?

Thats what I originally used on my ladders & rear step...after a year or so I had to touch them up on a regular basis as they chipped in spots...then I line x'd them...I'll never have to touch them up again...way more durable...don't think I could chip them if I wanted!

Yeah, I thought about the Line-X but with it's rough texture, I don't want to raise my drag coefficient!
