Has anyone painted their factory rims black?
I love the look of black rims on car especailly on the h3. I have to factory rims on it and dont want to spend another 170 a wheel X5 wheels. I was wondering if anyone has painted them black or if they are cheeper somewhere else. Thanks guys!

I'm also curious about how to go about painting rims.. I think it would be cool to paint mine white (since my H3 is white) but I guess they would really show dirt so I'm not sure..
My dad just got a 2010 Tacoma and he bought all new black rims and it cost about $3000, so I guess painting is definitely the cheapest way to get that black look.

I painted mine. Took the better part of the day, maybe 8 hours or so. Prep work is key!!! I removed my wheels (left tires mounted) and sanded the wheel. Having an air compressor helps. Its been over 15000 miles and not a single chip or mark. It looks good, there is not a hint of overspray or silver showing. I used a squeegee to push the tape into the tire bead so its perfect.
If I can figure out hoe to post pics, i have some of the prep and taping of the tire.
