Doc I have been reading these post and i have been thinking about getting a leveling kit for my black H3T. In the past with a 2500 Duramax I adjusted the torsion bars up and it did level out the truck nicely but it wasnt 10000-15000 miles later the front end was shot, shocks and alignment. I had a friend that used a leveling kit on his and he didn't have any problems he has over 150000 miles on his and it seems to be doing just fine. Now I'm not sure if it was my fault because i just took and impact wrench and did it, but it happend with two other trucks as well where i worked. there may also be a big difference between my H3t and chevy also so any other imput on this could save me time and money thanks!

rkymntH3T, 3s are'nt chevy pick ups. There is plenty of adjustment with the factory front torsion keys to lift the front of the 3s to its maximum height of 24" from hub center to fender lip. "Leveling kits" are nothing but re-indexed torsion bar keys. No need to believe me, this has been covered over and over on all the hummer forums.

I have no interest in member buying crap they do not need. People ask, I try to help, but you can only take the horse to water. Chevy PUs and SUVs do not have enough adjustment in the stock keys and need re-indexed keys to lift. Many of those come with a redesigned upper or lower control arm because the lift messes with the suspension/steering geometry. Different animals, entirely different front suspension geometry.

Jags don't have a transfer case, and the term AWD when used refering to cars is a different system. H3s & Ts are really FT 4X4s, but do have some aspects of an AWD system because of the unusual power split between front and rear noy normally found in 4X4 trucks in the purest sense. I also have no idea what size difference your jag tires were, but a one inch diameter would be large as to a car, and that one inch diameter makes a big difference in the tire circumference.

Transfer cases are not designed to allow one tire spinning faster than all the rest. Their flexibility is about tapped at allowing the tires to change speeds for turning.

you know you can lift the front of the truck up without buying anything...?? we have done this here at our dealership. it was like a 4 inch lift in the front but just adjusting some things.
