H3 vs H2
Thanks for the feedback I think it will help me make my decision easier. No gas is not a concern b/c its really just a weekend car as my job supplies me with a car for work. And Dennis, the first offer was my 07 Base H3 and 8,999 trading difference. The 05 Sut has 36,000 miles on it and is in tip top shape best i can tell. Now you tell me is that a good deal or not?? MY H3 has less than 5,000 miles on it and stickered for around 34k+++.
I like both ....but i really like the looks of the sut and driving both , i found i could see out the back better in the sut , also i liked the idea of opening up the sun roof and opening up the back in the summer as I have three dogs...well one golden retriever and two smallones , also i like that if i need to take any garbage or yard cleanup to the dump i have that space....I just love my sut....i think its what will fit your lifestyle the most...either way you won't go wrong

I wanted the H2 SUV, but here in France driving such a big beast is not convenient at all, even the H3 is veeeery big for the european standards.
thus, I bought the H3.
After considering the pros and cons I have decided that my next ride will be the H2 mainly because, first I don't use the H3 for city driving anyway and second since I have a wife, a son, two dogs (and three cats
) the H3 is not big enough when I take the all family out for a few days.
I like very much the SUT look but its internal usable volume is not bigger than an H3 .
last but certainly not least I feel that the H3 in under powered when I tow a trailer wich is not the case of the H2.

I had them all, 2004 H2, 2006 H3, and now 2007 H2 SUT. You can't beat driving either H2 or H2SUT, sorry to say the H3 needs alot of help.

Depends what you like!!! If GAS is a concern, the H2 isn't that much worse than the H3 (ask importkiller
)!!
If you LOVE your H3, than no need to change....UNLESS you REALLY LOVE the SUT!!
Some people LOVE their H3's, some people...not so much!!
The SUT's are COOL!!! Not very practical for some people who need to load your rig full of stuff (like CASES OF DVD's, 2L Coke, Shelving units, Boxes of chocolate bars, etc
)But I definately think they are HOT!! My 14 year old nephewLOVES the SUT's! More than my SUV (little *****)!!
What does your GUT tell you. IMO, that's the way to go!!!

Think you are a wee bit unfair towards the H3's here... they are still VERY capable vehicles (and yes, I'm a reformed "H3 is underpowered" kind of guy) and quite frankly did just as well as my H2 did wheelin and in many cases even better ... I personally would not get an H3 since I've been spoiled with my Deuce .. but to say they "need a lot of help" I think is just simply uncalled for ... then again, few people really drive these vehicles in a way to truly allow them to shine .. just my .02 worth
I understand what your saying here. Again, it comes down to preference. When I went to the Hummer dealer, I wanted to check out the H3. It was brand new and I wanted to see what it was all about. I was driving an 05 Burnt Orange Chevy Avalanche (without the side body moulding crap). I'd only had it 5 months and wasn't happy with it. It's a nice truck, just not what I really wanted. I wanted something meatier..hahahha...I did the research on the H3's and they are every bit as capable as the H2, lighter, better on gas, and their turning radius is much better, approach and departure angles are great.....but...when I got inside and started driving it...therein lies the difference. It felt light, wasn't as cushy, the tick tock of the turn signal was annoying. The gear shifter felt flimsy and it was small. I could feel the bumps in the road more, it felt very stiff and rigid to me. It wasn't much different as far as ride and feel goes as the Avalanche was. Then Ilooked atthe H2's....I had seen the SUT in consumer digest and loved it immediately. I asked the salesman if I could try one of those and he of course said yes. As soon as I got in I noticed aBIG difference. The interior was much more solid...the gear shifter is huge and solid feeling, when you grab the shifter of an H2, you know you got somethin in your hand..hahahha...the shifter in the H3 is very similar to the one in my daughters grand prix. The rideis definitlyheavier in the H2, much more cushy, I don't feel the bumps in the road at all unless their huge..But again, it depends on what you want and like in a vehicle. The H3's are great...But I will never, ever give my my H2...

if you'd like to feel the bumps in the road a bit more, i can recommend some shocks for you . . . . .

And like I said, the H3's are great. It all comes down to wants, needs and likes. For me...I like big and chunky
The bigger the better
