Recently My H3(178k miles) has been eating oil like nothing (no sign of oil leak) and a terrible knocking under the floorboard (not caused by the suspension) it sounds like the drive shaft is dying. when you open the hood the engine is vibrating. When a guy opened my hood while my H3 was on, he said "this s*it is f*cked up" basically this H3 is problem filled! If I pull up on my button to raise my window the lights dim.... If anybody has any idea or common issues with the H3, please let me know. I hate to Let It Go... But I'm going to have to get a new car this thing sounds like it's going to blow up! And coming from 30 to a stop the car struggles to downshift.

 

When was the last time the Trans fluid and filter was changed?

When was the last time the Transfer Case fluid was changed?

When was the last time the MAF was cleaned?

When was the last time the Throttle Body was cleaned?

When was the last time the spark plugs were changed?

When was the last time the front diff lube was changed?

When was the last time the rear diff lube was changed?

Are you still running the original U Joints in the front and rear drive shafts?

 

The dealership was supposed to flush and replace all fluids.. I don't think they did

 

Please, let me get this straight.
No regular maintenance on a 178,000 mile approximately 10+ year old vehicle and you are complaining about it having issues? No vehicle, regardless of make/model will last without regular maintenance and wear items being replaced over 150,000 miles.

You would like someone in the internet to diagnose all of these issues with some vague description of multiple issues with the above described vehicle? Doc asked specific questions which you answered with a canned response about fluids. Only 4 of the 7 questions had to do with any fluids.

I meant from 2017... The H3 was last in the dealership for a random battery draining on 01/23/2018 I asked them to flush and replace all fluids(they did not do it) For sure all fluids were changed back in 2017... The car has regular oil changes every 3-5 and regular maintenance. The car was in the shop for 7 months and the diff and trans has been checked every time it goes in but they find nothing.

 

My service history states. Body electrical system checked, transmission checked, trim checked, electrical system checked, drivability/performance checked, spark plugs changed, fuel Injection system flushed, oil and filter changed, oil pressure sender/switch replaced, front crankshaft seal replaced, computer system checked, differential checked, seat belts checked, axles checked, suspension checked, engine/powertrain Computer module checked, brakes checked. This h3 has been to the shop more than 22 times!! Not for regular maintenance either! But I am getting the car checked out Monday at an actual mechanic instead of the dealership.

 

We have to go by what you give us which wasn't very much in your first 2 posts.

Best thing you are doing now is NOT going to a dealer. Good luck and report back with any questions.
