I've been having front end alignment issues...the last alignment seems to have the H3 tracking straight but this morning I noticed the rear passenger wheel at the very rear of the wheel well...about 2 inches from touching it!

 

It's kinda common? for the bolts in the spring hangars to rust and freeze in place. Then the leaf flexes instead of pivoting on the bolt/bushing and it snaps. I bet you have a big clanking noise over bumps now.

 

@ rsc, any fix b4 it rusts??

 

Pull the bolts and apply antiseize compound to them. I'm betting that if you don't live in the rust belt you don't really need to do this. If you do live in the rust belt it might be too late. However, if you pull the bolt and it is rusty, run a wire brush on a drill through the hole and clean up the bolt as best as possible before reassembly if staying with the old hardware. And hope you don't already have seized bolts.

Problem solved...broken leaf spring.

 

I had to order new leaf springs. My passenger side broke where the spring curves over the bushing. I got them from gmpartsdirect.co. It took a few days but they were $145 apiece.
