H3 with 26inch... any braking problems? or ride stiffness?
#2
I run 22's with 305/40/22 tyres and the ride is a bit harsh and does wander a bit under heavy braking but its a trade off for the look.
I guess you are looking at the wheels on EBay, if I lived in the States I would buy them.
Cheers.

When ever you increase the diameter of your wheel you loose Horsepower, braking and ride.
IMO the biggest you want to go is 20". With 26" you should increase the diameter of your rotors and bigger calipers.

Rim pics . . .
Check out http://www.cardomain.com/MakeModel/Hummer/H3 for pics of H3's w/ rim packages. They had one on 30's. Don't know where it went, though. Guess they deleted it.
Think 24's are just about the biggest you'd want to go. Rode in one with 22's and it felt real clean. Had 285/45/22. Think the 22's look nice with the lowering kit. 24's even better! Whatever rim you go with, you might as well drop it, too. Not like you're gonna be going off-roading any longer.

I ride with 24's on my H3 and have not once had an issue with a "bad ride". One can say putting mudders on a H3 will give you a "bad ride". Im my opinion the handling is better since the wheels are larger then the narrow stock rims. Horsepower?? whats that with a H3 I5 engine? I will agree that sudden braking is lost but not by much. You will "eat" brake pads alot quicker then you would having the stock wheels. I rode with 26's before i bought my 24's and to me it looked like crap..rims stuck way off the sides of the fenders looked very stupied. Make sure whatever size rim you go with it is the "correct" offset for your truck. Alot of people figure since the rims are "6 hole chev pattern" they'll work..WRONG! do your homework before you spend your money..I have pics posted here with my hummer on 24's

16" is all you should go
Do not go any bigger than 16" wheels. With this size it allows you to lower the pressure in your tires which allows them the conture and grab the rocks you are going to climb better. With a low profile tire you really hurt the vehicles ability to offroad.
