Default any problems with 26inch on H3

im planning to put on 26inch on the H3...

but im afraid braking will be compromised due to heavier wheels and larger weight circumference....

and how about the ride comfort difference from stock... is it alot harsher?

I know you think 26's are the route to go. You'd be sadly mistaken. Everything you're afraid of compromising will be compromised. It's a rough ride. Not extrememly harsh, but you WILL notice a significant difference in the overall quality. Every little bump will rattle your ***. Install an air sus and all will be good, though. That's if you've got any $ left after the 26's + tires. Tire suggestions are Yokohama or Pirelli. Can't go wrong either way. But you'll pay for the quality. Near $400/tire. Get the "road hazard" warranty. You'll need it with 26's. Guaranteed.

I'd suggest 24's with a 285/40/24. Know you're probably going for the size to eat up some of that wheel well. Well, it will eat up your ride, too. You'll fly through brake pads. Should probably upgrade your rotors if you go with the 26's to accommodate for the decrease in braking power.

Go with the 24's, drop the backend on 3" blocks (like the old school lowriders), engineered spring in the front. You won't even notice the difference in the ride quality. Go with a +18 offset. Sits just outside the wheel well. Any less and the wheels start to tuck. Makes 'em look smaller.

Drop me an message if you have any additional questions. This board is more for the off-roaders than the street crowd. Couple solid guys on here know their stuff when it comes to street HUMMERS. Most will just ignore you for wanting to desecrate the off-road capabilities. Example of this are the #'s of responses you got to this thread.
