Hey guys,

Looks like this site isn't frequently visited, so thought I'd post a hello as a new member and a quick question.

I traded up my 07' H2 after that bad boy had run it's life of 210K, and probably could of kept going. I got a 05' H2 with only 40,000 miles on it, very clean..

Just curious... every now and then, not every day, and random times, I'll get a smell of like a burnt coolant, not very strong, and it goes away within seconds... could this be a possible leak? Or could it be that since it's an 05' barley driven, something needs to be flushed out? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

 

The gasket of the waterpump is prone to leak. I had put the "pepper" tablets in.
Now it is hardly leaking and I need half a gallon every 6 months or so. WIll stick a new pump in Some day but the small leak does not bother me much.
