Default Grinding... dont think its the brakes

I still have some days left on the warranty from the dealer. I hooked up the Torque Obd2 and have had no issues at all.

I have noticed a grinding noise, that sounds alot like the brakes, except when I engage the pedal, it does not go away like it would if it were the brakes. The only advantage of buying from a dealer is the warranty, so I want to bring her in to be repaired.

Any ideas on the noise? I do not want a quick fix by the dealer, only to have the issue return. I Would like to know what I am talking about, just a little.

I have been reading here for months and you guys are great!!! I hope to be a part of the help ;n the future, once I become more educated with the H3. Thank you for any help.

I should add some info. 2007 H3- 72k miles- 18" wheels with 305 tires. Seems to have been well maintained by previous 2 owners. Its a very clean vehicle.
