You can **** away all your coin on the best alarm on the market and it wont prevent a breakin. You can still punch the cylinder right out on the metal door buckets, so dont think your safe just from that.

If someone thinks there's something in your rig worth stealing- They're going to get it. The harder you make it, the more **** they're going to **** up on your rig.

So you put a plate like this in your door-
Jimmi Jammer Passive Truck, Car and SUV Security

Now when they can't punch that lock out w/ their drive socket & hammer, what do you think is the next step? Hammer breaks the side window pretty easily.

They are in and out of your rig in less than 30 seconds. Unfortunately its a no win situation any way you approach it.

I had this happen to mine about 3 weeks after I got it. The police believe that it is someone withing the dealership going after the removable backseats. On mine they just busted the plastic bucket and opened the door. Fortunately my neighbor noticed the doors open and called the police as I was away on business. Still have a nice dent in the door from where they busted the bucket.

The only problem with that is these days, you would probably end up in jail too with assault charges sad to say!

Sorry to hear that, Our 2004 H2 was broken into (2010) at the hard rock casino,Davie Florida, broke into the same way, they got off w/snap-on tools and my (New Escort) Radar dector....... total $900.00. (My Loss)no insurance coverage..... Took 4 days at Coral Hummer to get it fixed, door and hood were damaged by crow bar.....

The body shop and allstate insurance were having damage(Aruging over Prices for control fixing issues, I told my Agent its a Hummer, Not a Honda........

The total bill was $2,380.00 to fix the door and hood and repaint both.my cost was $0 dollars except for the Rental car........

I installed a VIPER alarm, it notifies me(lights and sound alarm from controler, on key chain) if someone breaks into the truck for over 1/4 mile, or if someone bumps into it....I can start it up and have it cooled off before i leave the job or home....best investment ive made, i also installed it in my wifes H3 also........

Sorry for your losses, I've had the same happen. Except I had a Viper alarm and had plates on the door. They broke the drivers door glass, opened the hood, disconnected the battery and once things were quiet took everything:
Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT, Yaesu FT-2800 Ham radio, Uniden 996xt scanner, CB, iPod.

$4000 dollars damage to the interior plastics and systems as they simply used a pocket knife to cut wires and forcibly ripped the dash apart getting to the stereo scanner and other items which were installed. Would have been less but the ripped the center console to shreds as there was a sub amp and radio gear mounted in the bucket the arm rest normally covers

All said the damage and loss hit approx $9000 dollars, still waiting for the final costs to be tallied.

The reason I list the items and such is to make a point, locks and alarms are deterrents. If someone is set on stealing your stuff, there is nothing you can do about it. Prevention is the best we can do.
And make sure your stuff is insured, take pictures of the install before during and after, keep them. keep receipts, all of this is going to be useful if you do make a claim.

Default Kyle100 Punched Lock

Kyle, I just had the same identical thing happen to my 07/H2/SUV while shopping at Fry's Electronics here in Las Vegas.

It was a clean punch, the lick looks just like yours, but they did not scratch mine... they were very good at what they do.

Once they punch the lock cylinder in, they can just use anything to turn the cylinder and it will turn the rod to the electric motor that unlocks the doors... they have immediate access.

NO ALARMS GO OFF, because as far as the alarm knows, they used your key to get in. The alarm does not go off until the door opens, but they turn the key cylinder and thus the rod before opening the door, so it is a valid entry.

They stole a T-Shirt we were minutes away from mailing to my 3 year-old grandson and about 50 CDs that were in the center console.

But I have no idea what the repair is going to cost.

I learned today that they can easily just pry up the plastic trim around the lock and get to the rod as well, so the entire door handle panel is a high risk, easy access point on the Hummers.

I did find some Jimmy Jammer plates that help stop maggots from doing it again. Truck Security Hummer H2 door plates

Sorry to hear that. I also have an '03 and would likely end someone if I caught them messing with my rig. Great luck on getting the lock fixed.
