I just saw that GM is recalling ~1738 H3T's because the gas tank could fall off. Check out the nhtsa website.

Experiencing this problem could make for a real bad day. The first thing that came to mind when I saw "gas tank recall" was Pinto.

 

I was @ the dealer today getting my bluetooth fixed & found out mine is on the list but they don't have the parts yet

Can you do me a favor and go to WWW.GMOWNERCENTER.COM and see if it lists your truck needing the recall? I have done it and it say I have zero recalls, have a call in to the stealership to see as well.

 

I was at the dealer the other day and asked about the recall. They hadn't heard anything about it yet, but thought it would be difficult for the gas tank to fall out with all of the skid plates under the truck.

 

The parts are starting to trickle into the dealerships...but they had to be ordered.

 

Mine shows no recalls also. The dealer said I'd get a letter when parts came in.

 

My wife called me at work. She mentioned that the Dealer called and stated there was a recall, they ordered the strap and it is in and that I can bring it in for the installation. Definitely a pro-active approach.

I checked with gmownercntr and hummer, mine is not on the list for the recall.

 

Gmownercenter says no stealership says yes for me taking it in next week for that. Need to haev them look at the front passenger window control as well it quit working. Maybe I can get them to swap out my rims for the spares of the ones on the lot so I can have the black steel rims instead of the silver ones.
