Default Frustrated

My 2008 Hummer H3 is making a sound when I take my foot off the gas and coast. It's very rhythmic like a wheel bearing but it's not. I've replaced all my tires because I was told it's tire noise. I replaced a bearing at the end of the drive shaft and that didn't do it either. Can someone help?

I'd recommend to take it to a shop that can place it on rack and run it through it's paces.
I've done this a couple times when I could not find a very troubling issue.

Not saying that this is the cause but have you made sure the slide pins and hardware for brakes are clean and fully working? They get really rusty.

I took it in to Chevy today for a recall and they they think it's a rear bearing pinion. Anybody run into that yet? What's the cost? Thank you!

I rebuilt my whole front axle with bearings (there are 8 sets), thrust washers, seals and fluid for about $225-250. No telling what a shop would charge.

I bought most stuff through rock auto but if you trust certain sellers on eBay you can find parts cheaper. It's not hard to pull axle and get apart.
