YEA JOSH!!! great job on the refurb! looks as good as new. those pics of the mud bog were pretty intense. i half expected blood to be smeared on the inside of the windshield. had that been me, i probably would have killed myself. way to stay patient and knock things out quickly! i hope everything else is ok w/ youras well!

Thanks guys.
As for the dent, well yea thats from my fat *** climbing through the sunroof to get out and attach the winch. And no, the jeeps didn't pull me out, it was an old FJ with a winch. He was really cool about the situation though. The install and clean up was all done myself. You'd be amazed how heavy and cumbersome that damn carpet is to get into the cab, let alone line it up and stretch it![:@] All in all the actual install took about an hour. The initial clean up took much, much longer. I was scrubbing wires and welds in the floor pan with toothbrushes for HOURS! Real PITA! I just don't want any evidence of "the Crime" if the dealer ever needs to look under there for anything!!! have an appointment for 7 am to drop off at the dealer for the CEL. I'll let yall know how it go's!

LOL. Thanks for sharing pics.

I have a question. The whole exhaust was under water including the tail pipe, so how did that work out? Holy heck.

I just thought about the black carpet thing as well too... but they may have noticed that when you drop it off for service.

I honestly don't know that I'd let the "let dealer remove" plastic coverings on there either. You may have gotten rid of those already.

I didn't know the darn mat retainers and everything came on it. I'll have to pay more attention the next time.

Thank you for your business!

The engine ran fine the whole time. Just the bubbles from the back by the exhaust. Never hesitated at all. Fan slung mud all over the inside of the engine bay though. Yea, all the questions and confusion about the carpet were for naught. Everything was installed and included. Thanks again!

Nice work buddy. Totally impressed with how squeaky clean you got her before the carpet install! Good luck at the dealer.

I have a smaller dent in my roof at about the same location. I think I pushed a little to hard while waxing. If your comfortable a rubber suction cup dent puller should take it right out. If not a "paintless dent repair" specialist could have it out very quickly without knowing it was ever there. The catch is it's a Hummer, so most of them see dollar signs. I'd say $100 whould take care of it. I got lucky. My father-in-law works at a dealership, and I had a nasty little dent/crease removed from my hood for $50. By the way my carpet color choice was just my preference. Yours looks very nice, and the install looks flawless.

Well got the call from the dealer today about the CEL. Vent tube to gas tank was clogged, and the evaporative canister was filled with water/mud. They said they will cover under warranty this 1 time!![sm=bounceybounce.gif] I'm so glad they hooked me up! I think ill stick to the rocks and stay away from the mud pits!

Glad things worked out for you....Dealers won't do anything they don't have to or look anyplace they don't need to. simple economics....
