Take your pcm apart and look at those water tight seals in it. You could submurge it in water and it will still be operating properly, with no damage!

Perhaps I was unclear...I didnt mean to imply the sunroof drain would harm the PCM (which lives in the engine bay, on the wrong side of the firewall to get wet from sunroof anyhow...). I did mean to imply that the sunroof drains should be fixed asap no matter what, regardless of if thats the problem or not. And also that the OPs symptoms are very similar to mine, which turned out , in my case, to be a bad PCM.

Looks like I sorted it out. The oem positive terminal was loose. Replaced it with some brass ones until I get some stingers.

Thanks for the great advice.

Default Finally bought stingers

[QUOTE=hummerz;318103]I installed the stingers (SPT55301) that covers the terminals (Sealing from moisture=prevents corrosion)

They are cheap on ebay:

Stinger Positive Negative Car Truck Nickel Plated Battery Terminal Clamp Set | eBay

I have seen posts about new terminals so often over the years that I finally got around to buying the Stingers you've got. Don't Want any of those electrical nightmares, guess I've been lucky with my 2006 H3 Adventure w/ 70k miles.

Smart move! I installed the stingers over 2 years ago, and last week when I replace my battery, (optima red top that was still good, however I didn't like the reviews I have been reading), I found the terminals still clean as if it was never used!

The 55301 stingers do work: Protecting the terminals from corrosion!

When you chop your original terminals, cut the wires as close to the old terminals as possible, then strip just enough insulation to get the wires to bottom out inside the stingers, then tighten securely, and if you want moisture protection on the stripped wires where they push into the terminals, coat terminal inlet/wire with liquid tape to seal. GL

Only thing left on my 2006 that puts fear in me is the Potential cylinder head issue, and bad U joints. May I ever be so lucky to avoid the cyclinder head problem!!

Nice! Secure the cables tight, then seal them.

Don't worry about the cyl head, just use top tier fuel and keep that tb,maf, & af clean. Using cheap fuel and not doing proper maintenance causes carbon deposits which damage the valves/seals!

If you can hear, You will know when it is time to change those U-joints!
