I believe if the fuse was made available toy you, the consumer, then it would also be made available the other less desireables who would simply pull the fuse so they can steal your ride. An inline fusable link is probably a better bet for the blONde Star because it will look just like every other wire in its vacinity.

I had problems before I even drove off the dealer's lot with the Mirror not working, ie compass and temp. The problem was a piece of the fuse box in the engine compartment that was cracked and causing two of the wires underneath the fuse box to short. It was part of the plastic fuse box housing. They had to take the fuse box off to get the piece out that was causing the short. That may be what is causing your problem. AS we have seen here on the forum, one person's problem usually is 10 people's problem

Linus Gump,

what you have said makes sense, except when I looked inside the H3 fuse console along with the owner's manual i saw a list of fuse numbers with the area each one covers......so why would that be inside the owner's manual without mentioning the on-star? I mean the number is incredible, so we do need to know about that fuse also.

I had this problem too. 20 amp fuse #8 blowing all the time. A stereo repair shop fixed this issue. He said the cause was a a wire rubbing against my parking brake. My H3 is fine now.
