I had the same problem with the black trim molding on my Corvette. It's almost impossible to remove. I found a product called 'Back To Black'. It comes with a precleaner, and an applicator similar to a shoe polish bottle. It worked great. I can't remember where I bought it, but I think it's widely availible. Try Google
