Does your 2008 H3 Steering Wheel lock?

Greetings,

I took delivery of an '08 H3 Alpha 2 weeks ago, and love it.

One thing odd that I noticed was that the steering wheel doesn't lock when you take the key out, no matter how far you turn the wheel.

From what I recall on my test drive of two 2007 H3's, the steering wheel did lock. And every one of the last 4 new vehicles that I've purchased since 1982 had a steering wheel lock.

Is mine defective, or did Hummer eliminate the steering wheel lock on the 2008 H3?

I just went and checked my 2008 (non-Alpha). The wheel doesn't appear to lock. But I could only manage to try it about a quarter turn with the engine off and no power.
