We bought our 07 H3 in 2016 with 85K miles on it. We have had various issues with it, including having to replace the transmission twice in a year. Now, in the last 24 hours, the panic button has gone off twice with no one around, and, when we go out to check it, the radio is on. Our key fob was replaced in 2018 because the old one was worn out, so its not the keyfob.

Anyone have an idea what to look at next?

Does it have a sunroof?. If so, has the passenger side carpet gotten wet?

Are you still using the crappy azzed OEM Battery Terminal connectors?

 

yes, to all those, but its been a while since the carpet has gotten wet

 

You need to feed the gremlins. I recommend CRC

 

Look up how to fix clogged sunroof drains and do that. Do NOT use any compressed air to blow out the drains, it doesn't work and will cause a bigger problem.

Then look into replacing the OEM Battery Terminal Connectors with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand. It is supposed to be the FIRST Mod done to every H3/H3T, know problem makers.

 

With the radio coming on.
Also check to see if your dome light goes off after you close the doors (keys out of the ignition).
You may have one or more of the door pin switches or the associated wiring to them acting up.
They are sometimes work intermittently and can set off the factory alarm. Pretty inexpensive to replace all 5 too.

Google search will bring you here... and about a bazillion more or so. I used Stinger SPT53302 and SPT53102 for both my 07 and 09, still on ebay.
