You should only "lightly" spray (pulse spray method) the maf element and let thoroughly dry before you reinstall and connect. You can use maf cleaner or electronic cleaner.

Throttle body should be removed to clean properly, spray away, use a toothbrush to scrub too, spray and spray, empty the can if need be.. Only use a tb or carb cleaner on the throttle body.

i don't reaaly dare to remove and disconnect the TB,

i'll do spot cleaning and make sure i get the edges clean since that what truly matters

clean edges =unrestriced air flow when partially open throttle

the back side buildup will not matter?

Right?

i will not touch MAF for now

please confirm about the RADIO

DOES IT NEED KEY CODE???

No code. Go ahead and disconnect the battery, the radio and bcm are already linked.

omg thanks for the answer.

i always thought amrrican audio systems are outdated they are probably the only

so when will it ask for code? when installed on another car? it will check the vin or what it'll do?

if radio was removed from the car alltogether for hours will it ask for code?

""for example if i installed another stereo and wanted to go back to stock? will it ask me for code? ""

and is the code the same as the 5 digits thst was supplied eith the keychain?

and where it could be found other than the manual ( i don't have it but will try to ask previous owner for it)

thanks again will go and disconnect battery for few mins or hours to clean terminal and whatsoever will do TB cleaning later

cya

Outdated? If you install a GM theftlock radio taken from a different vehicle, it will be locked, and you will need 1 of these to UNLOCK:

calm down bro,

i just went out and tried disconnecting the battery

auto driverside window is working fine
sunroof is working fine
i think oil change reminder or setting or whatever is gone
when i first turned the key to on or started her up( forgot what i did)

all 3 climate control orange leds flashed 3 or 4 times like this

- - -
1 sec pause
- - -
for 3 or 4 times not sure what is going on probably self test

i had a slight clunk when shifting to drive i notice it when its warm not sure if it does it cold probably it does it but louder

now when its cold the clunk is lessen probably something to do with idle

i however still have this
idle rpm 750
shifting from neutral to reverse rpm goes to 850-900 then back ti ~ 600-650 i don't know what it is hunting for?
does not happen in drive

and no i am not trolling i only had one confirmation at the beginig you didn' t answer my question about radio code not specific answer

Derian06 amswered my question i totally respect his answer but 12 times times in 2 months is quite a lot which translates to me it was short disconnect interval that would probably not re-initiate stuff

hummerz gave me a confirmation and i went out and followed him immediatly

just FYI

i wouldn't waste my time or anyone's time it's unethical especially on the internet
eitherway thanks for your help and everybody else

maybe you can still see many oem units using cassete till this day

i also own 2013 camaro ss which has mylink with no cd/cassette (less mechanical parts to fail) this applies to the use SSD instead of HDD
another car that i own is 2008 VolksWagen EOS which doesn't have cassette

just my opinion

are these tech2 for public sale or thry are properity of GM?

1. Stop calling your HUMMER a dang car!

2. Why are you disconnecting the battery for a "trip"? Will you be gone a month or more?

3 If you are not driving your HUMMER for a longer period of time I suggest a Battery Tender.
