That's pretty much everything a Hummer fan could want and more!

(As we learned from the Renault buyout of Nissan, the car biz is simply a matter of having enough money in reserve to throw at a problem. Just like Blackjack! Maybe this Hummer deal will turn out to be even more relatively successful.)

It seems like GM will be the contract manufacturer for the forseeable future. The new owner will also implement GM's product plans for the new H3 and H4. The sale will save a lot of American jobs at all levels. Less than ideal to be sure but this is our new SUV off-road reality:

Hummer = Chinese
Land Rover = Indian
Jeep = Italian
Nissan = French
Mercedes-Benz = 25 to 30% Saudi

 

mm yeah its just sad...... even then while its still american built.... why do we need a new H3? there is nothing wrong with the current H3, its like an insult to the H3. you dont see the H1 or H2 getting even a facelift. H3 does not need redesigning.

and dont get me started on H4. sorry but i feel like thats just pushing it. it may be good for sales... but its gonna be the wrangler of the hummer lineup which i think will destroy Hummer's "Like.Nothing.Else" slogan. because it wont be anything special anymore
